Connecting Cultures Since 1981

The Cowichan Intercultural Society has served newcomer families for 40 years.

Together, with donors like you & partner organizations, we’ve helped 12,000 immigrants & refugees build a home in Cowichan. Your donation directly benefits immigrants & refugee families in need. This includes licensed childcare, youth programs, homework help, summer camps, community connections & more.

The Cowichan Intercultural Society responded to COVID hardships with food programs, technology training, devices for remote learning & social connection. We transitioned to virtual delivery with Cyber Buddies a no-contact, student-led mentoring program and online English Language Mentoring. We personally reached out to every client to provide the service & connectedness they needed.

Everyday our organizations works to defeat racism and promote diversity and inclusion — the cornerstones of vital, welcoming communities.

Build the diverse Cowichan we believe in.
